Will sings the ABCs

Will has turned into quite a talker lately. He's also showing us that he has some natural musical talent singing words and tune to several songs. His favorites are definitely Awesome God, Step by Step, and the ABCs!

Here are three clips of him singing the ABCs. They are mostly in order...I could never get a good video of him doing the whole thing.

This morning when I went to get Emma from her room for breakfast I heard her singing (the small bright spot in the middle of the picture is light coming in through the crack under her door)



Reminds me of an early video of her Aunt Becca singing the same song!

She's got great taste in music

First off, sorry this is so dark. I happened to look over and see Emma in action, so hopefully her expressions are visible enough!



Her observations about Steven Curtis Chapman:

"His guitar is orange"

"He jumps a lot"

"I want to see the airplane again" (it was the concert about the missionaries in Ecuador)

Ever the music lover...

Here is another longer video of munchkin. She pulls out one of her favorite dance moves around 3 minutes in (maybe she's been watching too much of Steven Curtis Chapman...a few of you will get it!)

Indiana Jones

While the BSO was warming up before the concert, I immediately recognized this classic Williams and knew Sarah would be sad to have missed it.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get the whole thing because Emma decided she was ready to finish eating and sat on my lap!

Music lover

I'm working on sorting through and editing the many, many pictures from the weekend -- we had such a wonderful time that I'll try to detail this week. For now, I'll leave you with this video of Emma at Oregon Ridge enjoying the BSO...

Emma LOVES music

Completely unprompted. She just likes music.

Christmas toy from Oma

Emma has really enjoyed playing with her new push toy from Oma! She really loves to push it around and dance to the music. Take a look:

Little musician

Grandma got Emma this new toy that has piano keys and plays music and she loves it! Today she was dancing to the music. I was able to catch a little of it in this video!

Drummer in the making?

These pictures are from a few weeks ago, and I'm just now getting them up!!

Emma had a lot of fun when we visited Grandma playing with a spoon and pot!

My drums!

Friday I was able to set up my drumset in our loft! I had started working on it about a week before Emma was born, but ended up getting to tired. So I finally got it up this past week. I had some extra motivation because I'm going to start playing the drums for church again this coming Sunday. I stopped playing at church about a month before Emma was born, so I am a little rusty.

We didn't have room for the drumset at our apartment, so this is the first that I've really been with my drums in years (since I didn't have them at college either). Other sets are fine, but there's nothing quite like getting behind my set...its nice to have my "sandbox" back again!
