This year has brought many big changes, one of the biggest of which was the decision to move to a new church. One of the main reasons for this was to have Emma and Will baptized as covenant children. The decision was a long time in the making for us, and we are so thankful for the family and friends that came to share the day with us, even if our opinions of baptism differ.
I didn't take any pictures that day -- I handed Martin the camera sometime after our brunch and asking him to get a few, so that is what is here!

The best picture of Emma and Will! Emma was a bit overwhelmed by the day. She burst into tears and buried her head in Martin's shoulder while we stood up front after she had been baptized. Being in front of the crowd was hard enough, but when she heard her name over the speaker it seemed to push her over the edge. Will was calm and didn't seem especially fazed by any of it.
One little boy was overheard telling his parents that Emma "must be allergic to water!" because she was crying!
Thanks again to everyone who could come! It was quite a day, as we shooed everyone (even our kiddos) out of the house so that we could leave for our 5th anniversary trip! More on that coming soon...
