Lum's pond

A few weeks ago Martin and I went to Lum's pond to grill chicken for dinner. We managed to get everything cooked, but were hearing thunder in the distance. We took dinner up to the car just as the rain started pouring down, so we ate in the car. By the time we were done the rain had stopped and everything was beautiful. These pictures were all taken after the rain.

Baby update

we are having a girl!
The ultrasound was amazing. We could see our baby girl moving her hands and feet and she flipped from being head down to feet down during the ultrasound. Her little legs were crossed at the ankles the whole time -- so cute!

At 19 weeks the baby weighs about 11oz.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

We went to see the Wilmington Blue Rocks game last night. They are a class-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and in the same division as the Frederick Keys. A bunch of people from the church went and we had a really good time...especially when we found out that it was Star Wars night!

16 weeks

So the baby is about the size of an avocado this week...I love avocados!

15 weeks

15 weeks along now, and the baby belly is starting to show now. Hopefully we'll post every week from now on to show the progession!

Also, we have an ultrasound scheduled for August 15 -- we may find out then if we're having a boy or a girl!

anniversary trip

Martin and I went to PA for our anniversary this past weekend and stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast in the Safari room. Our room was filled with African decorations...it was so cool! The door to our room opened out onto a deck right on a lake. The lake was filled with all sorts of different fish, and we used the paddle boat to watch the sunset.
