Snow in Delaware!

We are excited about the snow! Last year we had a dusting or two, and the "big snow" of the year was maybe an inch or two. Well it started snowing during the night, and we have close to a foot now - which is TONS for our area. It is still snowing hard, too.

Martin shoveled around 3 and you can hardly tell that he did anything just a few hours later.



We bundled Emma up in my old snowsuit and took her outside for just a few minutes. She was so cute getting ready, as if she new that something new and exciting was happening!

Christmas Tree!

Last weekend we got our Christmas tree! I had been very antsy to get it up, but our weekends in December have been so busy that we had not yet had time. We really enjoy cutting down our own tree, but this year found a really great deal on a pre-cut tree - for $24! I wrote about how we managed to get such a good deal on Thrifty Living.

Emma enjoyed being out and looking at the trees, but once we pick ours out and wanted to get pictures, she looked totally bored, hence her face in the pictures!

We decorated most of the tree once Emma was in bed, but we did let her play with her "Baby's first Christmas" ornament from Oma and look at the tree for a while.

Its a great tree!

Happy Birthday Martin!

Martin's birthday was Friday and we celebrated by having lunch at Pizza Johns with family! We all enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful gifts and helping to make our celebration special!

Our Weekend

Martin came down with something nasty on Thursday complete with flu symptoms...hmmm maybe it was the flu? He ended up sleeping most of the day Friday and is doing well now.


Since I went in to church early to play the drums, Martin got Emma ready for church:

Autumn

Fall is here and I love it. Crisp days, multi-colored trees, and that smell in the air. You know the one I mean? For all our family and friends in warmer climates, this is what I'm talking about!

Emma's Dedication

Two weeks ago Emma was dedicated along with several other children at our church. So many of our family and friends were able to make it to be with us as we promised before God and our church to raise Emma to know, love, and serve God to the best of our abilities. It was a great day to celebrate all that God has done in our lives and reconnect with friends and family!


Emma had a great time during the music...until she crashed.
