Last week it was so nice everyday...the picturesque fall feel. We had really been wanting to get some family pictures done, so here's what we ended up with:

Emma crawling
As requested, here is a clip of Emma crawling on her hands and knees. She is a lot faster now than in the video too, and she tries to stand up holding onto her swing in the video, something that she is able to do now.

Emma - 9 month update
Emma went to the doctor this week for her 9 month check up. She weighs 17 pounds and is 27 inches tall. She's in the 25th percentile for weight and the 50th for height.
She loves to read books, and will even sit and turn the pages through her own books.
She loves music too...she starts bouncing and dancing when she hears the radio, one of her toys, or even a commercial on the tv.

The last two weeks she has grown in leaps and bounds...or rather in crawling and standing!
One day I looked over at Emma playing in her gate and I saw this:
And now every morning when we get Emma up we see this:
She is super fast and crawls on her knees now. She's so determined that she can get anywhere in the room that she wants now (even up the stairs). And sometimes when she concentrates, her tongue slips out. Wonder where she got that from?

Emma and Owen
A few weeks ago we had our friend Owen with us for the day. He and Emma had fun together and I enjoyed getting to see them play together. We had a busy day - we went up to the Can-Do Playground north of Wilmington with our neighbors.
Owen enjoyed the giant sandbox:

In September we went to an Orioles game -- Emma's first!
The Orioles have such great staff; the usher that showed us to our seats (12th row behind home plate!!!!) asked if it was Emma's first game, and told us we could go get a certificate for her.
Emma wore my Orioles shirt:
And guess what? She should go to every game because the O's won!! It actually was a great game, with a lot of action at the plate. We won by a run too; very exciting!
